Oakhurst House (back then) - Prob. located near 39641 Road 428.
Jack & Sidney Bunce lived here from c.1936 to c.1939,
but much of the time Mom was here w/ just her Dad Jack.
Her parents almost certainly rented the place.

An interesting old oak tree on Road 428. The Bunce house was several hundred to the right of this tree, where 428 intersects Hangtree Ln.
Lincoln Grammar School (1920s), one of three elementary schools in 1941 in Madera.
Madera Houses & Schools Jack & Sidney from c.1940 to c.1946 rented in Madera,
where Mom graduated from Lincoln Grammar School
(Madera Elementary), and Madera High School.
They lived first at Rural Route 2, Box 199, on County Road 13 ½ (Ave 13 ½), about ⅓ mi east of where that road intersects Road 28.
Later they were at 200 South Park St, closer to the High School.

Escalona Motel - 1697 or 3530 Old Highway 1 in Santa Cruz, CA
Jack and Sidney from c.1946 to c.1951 ran a motel here.
Their motel is long gone now, but we think it was on, or just north
of Old Highway 1 (Mission St), perhaps south of where Escalona
now makes a T-intersection w/ Grandview St. (see map at right)
Perhaps 3530 was a home address for Jack & Sidney,
and 1697 was where the motel was actually located???

Santa Cruz House - 116 Holway Drive, Santa Cruz, California
This house was built in 1915, and
Jack & Sidney lived here from about 1951 until about 1958,
when they needed to sell it to make ends meet.
San Jose Apartment - 237 E. San Salvador St.
Jim & Jackie Clark rented apartments from 1952 to 1953/54?. This may, or may not include one in Los Gatos?

This house was built in 1952, and we think that Jim & Jackie
bought it new when they lived here from 1953/54? to 1958.
(We think they bought it for $14,000, & sold it for $17,000)

This house was built in 1925, and Jim & Jackie lived here from 1958 to 1969.
(We think they sold it for about $40,000 in 1969. It last sold for $2.25 MM in 2008, and it was valued at $5.2 MM in 2025.)

This house was built in 1964, and Jim & Jackie lived here for 3 months in the summer of 1969.

The house was built in 1977, and Jim & Jackie lived here from 1978 to 1997.
